History
The Forest Farmers Group (Kelompok Tani Hutan/KTH) Meniti Fajar originated from a farming group established around 2011, initially focusing on agriculture and livestock activities. At its inception, the group did not have legal status and operated on a voluntary membership basis, with an internal management structure and activities similar to typical farmer groups.
Later, the group obtained legal status under the name Forest Farmers Group (KTH) Meniti Fajar through Notarial Deed No. 255 dated November 17, 2021.
On February 4, 2021, KTH Meniti Fajar submitted a formal request, Letter No. 003/KTH-MF/RSB/II/2021, seeking approval to manage 1,895 hectares of community forest (Hutan Kemasyarakatan/HKm) located in Raja Seberang Subdistrict, South Arut District, West Kotawaringin Regency, Central Kalimantan Province.
This request was approved by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry through Ministerial Decree No. SK.2820/MENLHK-PSKL/PKPS/PSL.0/3/2022 dated March 28, 2022, granting KTH Meniti Fajar a license to manage 1,909 hectares of land designated as Convertible Production Forest (HPK) in the same area.
